What is Visa Sponsorship? Visa sponsorship is when a U.S. employer petitions on behalf of a foreign worker, essentially vouching for their eligibility to work in the United States. The employer takes responsibility for the worker's immigration status and compliance with visa requirements.
Common Visa Types H-1B Visa: For specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. Common in tech, finance, and professional fields. The employer must prove that no U.S. workers are available for the position.
L-1 Visa: For intra-company transfers of managers, executives, and specialized workers to U.S. offices. This requires the employee to have worked for the company abroad for at least one year.
